Freedive Training
After you take a course, there are multiple options for continuing your education and sharpen your skills.
We offer community line sessions on Sundays in Monterey, CA and regular trainings in San Francisco, Cataina, and Santa Barbara.
Pool training is also available at the Monterey Sports Center. Join one of our sessions and enjoy the teamwork focus to help you reach your goals.

Spearfishing Courses and Training
Intro to Spearfishing
Our most popular course. This training is for those looking to learn the skills needed for successfully hunting and foraging underwater. Many of our students are able to shoot their first fish during the course.
For those who have tried spearfishing, this is an excellent opportunity to refine your skills and become a more effective underwater hunter.
Learn from an instructor and go on a guided hunt to execute the skills and tactics required for spearfishing in California.
Hunting Parties
Alumni of the Intro to Spearfishing course are welcome to join in other Odyssey spearfishing sessions. This allows you to refine your skills under supervision and gain new dive buddies.
Guided Spearfishing
Looking for a guided spearfishing experience? We offer private guiding as well as group trips.
Explore new sites and dive for larger pelagic species on one of our spearfishing expeditions. These excursions range from Souther California to tropical destiations around the world.
